Farmington Country Club

Charlottesville, Virginia

The Farmington Country Club was founded in 1929 when Fred Findlay laid out the original 18-hole course (formerly known as the North and South nines and now called the Main Course). A shorter, ten-hole layout was added in 1965 and came to be known as the East course. In 2016, the East course was completely remodeled by Coore & Crenshaw. Selected to run the project and complete the design was Dave Axland. Dave remains Farmington’s consulting architect and has since completed a multi-year, Comprehensive Master Plan-guided, renovation of the Main Course.
