Schloss Langenstein

Orsingen-Nenzingen, Germany

In 1992, Rod Whitman completed his second project in Europe, and third solo design, when the 27 holes at Schloss Langenstein Der Country Club in Germany opened for play.  The routing – a loop followed by a figure eight – does its part to create a pleasant flow through this rolling German countryside.  A good variety of holes call for all the clubs in one’s bag to be used.  Of course, the ancient castle (part of Langerstein Estate and home to the German line of the Scottish Clan Douglas) helps to provide an excellent backdrop for a number of holes.

Roles:  Rod Whitman (Golf Course Architect).
